Early start writing sleeve notes for the soon to be released ‘Robin Ross Interviews’ C.D’s

Belinda Carlisle talking so openly about family the GoGo’s and her music…. The Bee Gees: Robin, Maurice and Barry recorded in their studio in Miami, this was my first taste of travelling to the states and recording an interview, producing the master and delivering the product in day’s, must say swimming in Miami at 7.00.a.m. in a warm sea was pretty cool.

When I listen back to my radio work maybe I wasn’t that bad at it and have a certain amount of pride in what I achieved, 35 Gold, Silver and Platinum discs was the icing on the cake, before diabetes, and really it was enjoying what i did for a living which I hope I always treated as a job. A job I was very lucky to have I might add.

Do I miss it?

Not often but maybe just a little bit this morning, editing through the night on a reel to reel tape machine to get the piece on a courier, maybe not so much.

Happy days are here, also printing is so much fun.
