Ripped Off

Now I, like most people, am used to being ripped... off but this takes the biscuit.

Some years ago someone created a web site, which cost me £800 and the brief was I must have access to the ENTIRE SITE, this has ever been the case and I have not been able to access the front page or the Gallery. Now as an artists this is so important, being able to change the images is the whole name of the game. I have therefore not been able to use the site.

I decided there were two options scrap it and accept the damage limitation or ask the original designer to amend the site even though it was clearly not my fault as the site was not created from the original brief.

Heres the best bit… This person has now sent me an estimate to amend the site at a mere £1800 plus their design fee. Therefore I am now set to be £2600 down with no service and a design fee to come.

Karma will get them and they are so dishonest and laughing all the way to the bank.

Needless to say i am looking elsewhere.

I have not named the company our individuals involved as this is not how I operate but look out if you employ a web designer.
